Most of us resist change and when we consider this fact we will discover that all of the unhappiness and difficulties that we have experienced in our lives are due to this resistance.
Change is inevitable and yet it unsettles us, because it knocks us off balance and causes ripples in our world.
to help us understand, all we really need to do is to observe nature. The seasons, springs, autumn and winter, which we are all accustomed to and which are acceptable to us as they occur annually.
Spring brings renewal and new growth. Summer brings full blossoms and blooms. Autumn is the time when the leaves fall and is the first sign that winter is drawing near. Winter is barren and no new growth appears and can even be seen as a time of rest or even a deathlike state.
And so round and round we go until the new growth of springs arrives.
Do we ever notice signs about the plants and trees complaining about this change?
It is nature and it is life. It is the way it is and will be whether we approve of it or not.
And so if we observe nature with all of its variety and abundance, it surely will be able to teach us about our own lives and so enable us to make peace with change as it happens in our own lives.
